Esme is a three year old girl with a rare form of epilepsy – PCDH-19. This combined with her severe hypotonia has impacted her physical abilities and development. However, Esme is one of the most motivated kids we have ever seen. She doesn’t let anything stop her and moves through any road blocks with determination and grace. We have provided Esme with equipment to aid in crawling which she is able to do pretty independently now. We also assist in funding for hippo therapy for Esme which has helped her increase her strength. She has also benefitted from our equipment exchange program and has borrowed some additional sitters so that she has provided her with safe sitting alternatives.
