Isabella is a 9 year old girl with intractable epilepsy, cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus and hypertonia. She requires physical assistance with all activities of daily living and has limited communication. We have worked with Bella and her family on different items, most recently an iPad for her to have at home to support the work being done in school. She is very engaged with the iPad and is able to use it even with her low muscle tone. We also provided the family with an adaptive swing for her to use. They were so eager to use it and provide her with an enjoyable safe alternative to her wheelchair that we set it up in their living room for her to enjoy over the winter. They moved it outdoors in the spring and summer.
