"Sam loved hippo-therapy. He made nice progress and his therapist said he was a very good rider and could possibly compete in the Special Olympics in the future!! Thanks so much again and have a wonderful new year!!!"
“I just wanted to say thank you again for the grant to cover Lizzie’s therapy chair and glasses. They are making a world of difference with her therapies! We are so thankful for you and the work that you are doing.”
I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much.. You guys made me cry this afternoon when I open your letter.. I can’t express the gratitude, but just to say thank you very much for the help.
“I received the letter today stating Piper’s family was approved for travel reimbursement for her recent trip, as well as an additional $500. I was thrilled to read this! Thank you so much. What a great family they are, and what a great thing you are doing in Jake’s memory.
“I work with a little boy who was still using a high chair (he is 9), the high chair was the only thing he could sit in safely. He was never truly part of the family meals. I requested a special chair that would allow him to be close to the table to eat with the family and be age appropriate for him as well. He is so happy in it and his appetite has also appeared to improved eating with the rest of the family. Thanks Jake.”
“Nick is doing well with his new iPad in school. He is practicing navigating the screens to reach the Proloquo2go app. He is then learning to use the various screens to comment on his bus ride, choose a morning station, comment and request at circle, snack and play times. Nick even demonstrates a sense of humor by asking for a “spider” or “doughnut” at snack (when these items are not available). This leads to giggles and appropriate social interaction with peers. Nick also loves to choose an iPad game during speech time, which allows him to work on understanding basic concepts, following directions, colors, matching and other age appropriate skills. Thank you to Jake’s Help From Heaven for giving Nick the gift of communication!”
