Kaitlin was a classmate of Jake’s many years ago at Prospect School. She is battling a degenerative neurological disease that will take her life between the ages of 8-12 years old. She can no longer walk or talk and is wheelchair bound. While she deals with the severity of her diagnosis every day, she stays happy and maintains a positive energy that can’t be denied. Kaitlin is using the Duet Wheelchair Bicycle Tandem from our Equipment Exchange. This allows her to feel the wind in her hair once again and allows her to spend time with her family riding bikes. Kaitlin and her family are strong and are battling this disease with all they have and we are honored to help them in their fight.
